A live inventory analytics app for Odoo - an interactive dashboard plus eight drill-down reports covering stock aging, ABC analysis, dead and slow-moving stock, inventory turnover and days of inventory (DSI), days of supply, below-minimum and negative-stock alerts, and daily stock movement, all computed on read so the numbers are always current.
Inventory Analytics turns Odoo Inventory into something you can actually steer. Standard Odoo tells you what is in stock right now, but not which items are quietly rotting, which few products hold most of your money, how fast stock is turning, or when a line is about to run out. This app answers those questions on one screen and backs every number with a report you can open, group and export.
What it does
The dashboard opens on six headline numbers - on-hand value, dead-stock value, how many items are below minimum, how many are negative, your average turnover and your average days of supply - and a set of visuals that make the story obvious. A stock-health gauge shows the share of your catalogue that is healthy versus dead, below minimum or negative. An ABC donut splits your on-hand value into A, B and C classes so you can see how much sits in the vital few. Stock-aging bands show how long inventory has been sitting. An inventory quadrant plots every product by turnover against days of supply, with bubble size for value and colour for ABC class, so fast movers, slow movers and overstock separate themselves at a glance. A daily-movement waterfall walks from the opening balance through receipts, deliveries, scrap and adjustments to the closing balance.
Every card is clickable. Tap a KPI or a chart and the matching report opens - Stock Aging, ABC Analysis, Dead and Slow-Moving, Days of Supply, Below Minimum, Negative Stock, Turnover and DSI, or Daily Movement - as pivot, graph and list views you can slice, group by company and export.
Key features
Everything is computed live from your stock, quants and moves, so the figures are always current and there is no scheduled job to wait for. The dashboard is company-aware and shows each company's own currency, and you can filter by company and by product category. A short settings page lets you tune the dead-stock threshold, the ABC cut-offs, the turnover window, whether "below minimum" means the reordering-rule minimum or a manual safety-stock figure, and whether value is based on standard cost or real accounting valuation. Aging bands are fully editable.
Who it's for
Inventory and warehouse managers who need to cut dead stock, protect against stock-outs, and focus buying on the products that matter - and anyone who has wished Odoo Inventory had a proper reporting and KPI layer without exporting to a spreadsheet. It installs on Odoo Community and steps up to real inventory valuation automatically when Odoo Accounting is present.
Frequently asked questions
How do I see stock aging in Odoo?
Open the Inventory Analytics app and the Stock Aging report, or the Stock Aging card on the dashboard. On-hand quantity is grouped into aging bands by how long each quant has been in stock - for example 0-30, 30-60, 60-90 and 90+ days - and you can edit the bands to match your own buckets.
How do I run an ABC analysis of inventory in Odoo?
The ABC by value chart and the ABC Analysis report rank every product by on-hand value and split them into A, B and C classes using a cumulative Pareto cut-off. You can set the A and B percentage thresholds in the settings, and the rest fall into C.
How do I find dead or slow-moving stock in Odoo?
The Dead and Slow-Moving report and the dashboard's dead-stock value KPI flag every product that has had no stock movement for longer than a threshold you choose (90 days by default), so you can see exactly how much value is tied up in items that are not selling.
How is inventory turnover and days of supply calculated?
Turnover is the value consumed over a trailing window divided by the average inventory value, and days of inventory (DSI) is derived from it. Days of supply is on-hand quantity divided by the average daily consumption over the same window. You can set the window length in the settings.
How do I get a below-minimum stock alert in Odoo?
The Below Minimum report and KPI list every product whose on-hand quantity is under its minimum. You choose the basis in the settings - either the product's reordering-rule minimum, or a manual Safety Stock figure this module adds to the product form.
Does this need Odoo Accounting to value my stock?
No. It works on Odoo Community using the product's standard cost. If Odoo Accounting (inventory valuation) is installed, you can switch the value basis to use the real posted inventory value instead - the module detects it automatically.
Which Odoo versions does this module support?
Use the version selector at the top of this page to pick your Odoo release. Each branch is published as its own listing for that exact version.
