Overview

AI Record Brief.

AI Record Brief puts a short business brief on the records your team already works in. Odoo computes the status from its own fields, so the same record reads the same way for everyone, and your AI provider is asked only for the wording. The free Sales, CRM, Invoicing and Inventory bridges install themselves for whichever of those apps you run.

What it does

AI Record Brief puts a short business brief on the records your team already works in: sales orders and quotations, CRM opportunities, customer invoices and stock transfers. Each brief is a status badge, a summary of three to five lines, the risks the record is carrying and the single next action somebody should take, with the time it was generated.

The split is what makes it trustworthy. The status is computed by the module from a rule table over Odoo's own fields, so it is the same answer for every user and every session. The language model is handed a structured payload built from named fields and is asked only for the wording. When the rules say a record is closed, the provider's hint is discarded and cannot reopen it.

Who it's for

Sales managers, pipeline owners, credit controllers and warehouse supervisors who open dozens of records a day and need to know which ones are actually in trouble. It suits teams that want an AI reading on their own data while keeping the decision about what a record's status is inside Odoo, and who want to use their own provider account rather than route anything through a vendor.

Questions

About AI Record Brief.

How do I get an AI summary of a sales order or an invoice in Odoo?

Install AI Record Brief, connect your own AI provider key in Settings, then click Generate AI Brief on the record. The brief appears on the form as a status badge, a short summary, the risks and one recommended next action.

Does the AI decide whether a record is at risk?

No. The status is computed by the module from Odoo's own fields using an ordered rule table per record type. The provider may return a hint of On Track, Attention or At Risk only, and it can neither return Closed nor override a Closed result.

What data is sent to the AI provider?

A structured payload built from named fields: the record reference, the company, the customer or lead, the salesperson, amounts, dates and, for sales orders and transfers, the product lines. Recent customer-facing chatter is included only if an administrator turns that on, and internal notes never are.

Which AI providers can I use?

The module ships an adapter for OpenAI-compatible APIs, Anthropic, Google Gemini and DeepSeek. You choose the provider, name the model and paste your own key per company. Nothing is routed through CODEerts.

Can a normal user run up a large provider bill?

An administrator sets a daily generation cap per user and a cooldown per record, and the whole configuration is restricted to Settings administrators, so a user can spend but can never widen their own limit.

Which records does it cover?

Sales orders and quotations, CRM leads and opportunities, customer invoices and credit notes, and stock transfers including deliveries and receipts. Each one is a small bridge module that installs itself once you have both AI Record Brief and the matching Odoo app.

Which Odoo version and editions does it support?

This release is built for Odoo 19 and runs on both Community and Enterprise. There is no Odoo 18 or Odoo 17 build. The Odoo Apps Store listing always shows the exact version a build supports.
