Overview

AI Record Brief for Inventory.

AI Record Brief for Inventory adds the brief to stock transfers, including deliveries and receipts. Five ordered checks over the scheduled date, the promised date and availability decide the status, so being genuinely late and having a planning conflict are separated instead of both reading as Late. Your AI provider writes the wording, never the status. It is a free add-on and is not a standalone product: it requires the AI Record Brief core module, which holds the provider settings, the security group and the generation engine.

What it does

AI Record Brief for Inventory adds the AI Record Brief to stock transfers, including delivery orders and receipts. The brief is a status badge, a summary of three to five lines, the risks the transfer is carrying and the single next action somebody should take.

The checks are the ones a warehouse supervisor would make: is the transfer genuinely past its own scheduled date while still open, is the promised date earlier than the plan, is it waiting on another operation, is it confirmed but not yet reserved. Done and cancelled transfers are terminal, so the provider is not consulted for them. Being late and having a planning conflict are kept apart, because Odoo's own Late filter covers both and the two need different actions.

Who it's for

Warehouse supervisors and logistics coordinators running deliveries and receipts in Odoo who need to know which transfers will genuinely miss their date, and customer service teams who would rather find out before the customer does.

Questions

About AI Record Brief for Inventory.

How do I tell a late Odoo delivery from a scheduling conflict?

The brief separates them. A transfer past its own scheduled date reads At Risk, while a promised date that is earlier than the plan reads Attention and is described as a planning conflict.

Why does that distinction matter?

Because the fix is different. A missed date needs the goods moved, while a promise made earlier than the plan needs the plan or the promise changed. Odoo's own Late filter fires for both, so the two cases arrive looking identical.

Is a transfer scheduled for later today counted as overdue?

No. The comparison is against today rather than the current second, and only actionable states are considered, so a transfer scheduled for this afternoon is not born overdue.

Does it cover receipts as well as deliveries?

Yes. The brief is added to the stock transfer form itself, so incoming and outgoing transfers both carry it.

Do I need to install anything else?

Yes, and this module is free precisely because it is an add-on rather than a product on its own. It cannot work without the AI Record Brief core module, which holds the provider settings, the security group and the generation engine. Install that and this bridge installs itself once Inventory is present.

Which Odoo version and editions does it support?

This release is built for Odoo 19 and runs on both Community and Enterprise. There is no Odoo 18 or Odoo 17 build. The Odoo Apps Store listing always shows the exact version a build supports.
