Insurance Management Pro Claims in the Portal puts the client's own claims into the customer portal, so they can see where a claim stands without telephoning the broker. It holds no models of its own and exists only so that installing both the portal and claims gives claims in the portal. It installs automatically when both are present. It is a free add-on and is not a standalone product: it requires Insurance Management Pro with both the Customer Portal and Claims add-ons.

What it does
Insurance Management Pro Claims in the Portal puts a client's own claims into the customer portal, so they can see where each one stands rather than telephoning to ask.
It is a pure bridge. It holds no models of its own and exists only so that a broker who installs both the portal and claims gets claims in the portal. It installs itself automatically when both are present.
Who it's for
Brokers who already give clients a portal login and who handle claims themselves. If either of those is not true, you will never install this, and nothing will ask you to.

Do I need to install this manually?
No. It installs automatically once both the Customer Portal and Claims add-ons are present, because if you have both, you want claims in the portal.
Why is it a separate module at all?
Because it needs both the portal and claims. Folding it into either one would force the other on brokers who did not want it. This is the standard Odoo bridge pattern.
Can clients file a claim themselves?
They see their claims and where each one stands. Portal access in this suite is read only apart from the document upload in the Customer Portal add-on.
