An Odoo implementation for a small business with a few apps typically costs $1,200 to $3,000 in partner services and takes 4 to 8 weeks. A growing company with 4 to 6 apps should budget $3,000 to $7,500, and a multi-company rollout with integrations starts around $7,500. Odoo's licence and hosting come on top.
What does an Odoo implementation cost?
A quick overview of our typical ranges for the partner work: setup, data migration, any custom development, training and the first weeks after go-live.
| Your project | Typical scope | Typical cost | Typical time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small and focused | 1 to 3 apps, under 20 users, mostly standard | $1,200 to $3,000 | 4 to 8 weeks |
| Growing business | 4 to 6 apps, 20 to 50 users, some customisation | $3,000 to $7,500 | 2 to 4 months |
| Multi-company or complex | 6 to 10+ apps, integrations, custom modules | $7,500 to $18,000+ | 4 to 8 months, in phases |
Your own number depends on your apps, your data and how much has to be custom-built, so we quote every project after a short scoping call. See also how long an Odoo implementation takes.
What else is in the budget?
- Odoo licence. Community is free. Enterprise is charged per user per month, in your local currency on odoo.com/pricing.
- Hosting. Included in Odoo Online. Odoo.sh is a separate charge, and on-premise means your own server.
- The right plan. Integrations through the API, a second company, Studio, and Odoo.sh or on-premise hosting all need Odoo's Custom plan, not Standard. Custom modules cannot run on Odoo Online at all. Check this before you budget, because it changes the licence line.
What makes an implementation cost more?
- Customisation. The biggest lever. Every custom module costs once to build and again at every upgrade. See Odoo customization cost.
- Integrations. Each connected system is built, tested and monitored. See Odoo integration cost.
- Data migration. Messy or scattered data takes longer to clean than to import.
- Companies, countries and users. More of each means more configuration, testing and training.
To keep it down: start with the apps that matter most, use standard Odoo before customising, and clean your data early. Our implementation checklist shows each step.
Frequently asked questions
Is Odoo Community really free?
Yes. Odoo Community is open source and free, including CRM, Sales, Inventory and Purchase. You pay only for services and hosting, but some apps, including full Accounting and Studio, are Enterprise-only. See every Odoo app by edition.
What is the biggest hidden cost in an Odoo implementation?
Choosing a plan that does not fit your requirements, then customisation added mid-project. Both are avoided by scoping before the quote.
Can I get a fixed price for my Odoo project?
Yes, once the scope is defined. A short scoping call establishes your apps, customisation and data migration, and a fixed-scope quote follows from that.
